When I walked out of the office earlier today, I saw the moon, bright and full.
The sky was midnight blue, with the little sparkles from stars.
I didn't catch a single cloud chasing their shine.
It's probably their day off haha.
It was a beautiful scene.
I was smiling instantly.
I was enjoying my ride home.
I drove as slow as I could.
The moon was still there, watching me crossing one part of the city
to the other part.
I couldn't help but drive slower.
Its company made me happy,
so I wanted to spend more time together.
My mind was busy thinking about my trip to Jogja this weekend.
It will be a bridal shower for my best friend who is getting married by July.
I couldn't wait to hop on the train and have a blast.
But my eyes still chased the shadow of the moon.
They kept stealing a glance from the rear view mirror.
The wind was cooler.
The road was half empty.
My mind could wonder far.
But my heart stayed by the silver moon.
I was on the corner of my neighbourhood when it ambushed me
There he was, a big round silver ball hanging right above me
Stars were scattering around with dimmer light,
as if admitting the magnitude of the moon,
making a head turner scene together,
conspiring to stop my universe and be still in a moment.
I was stopping for 2 minutes, trying to memorised every little detail of the show.
There I was, in the middle of the street, feeling a gentle and subtle warmth reaching my chest.
I felt happiness just by admiring and watching from a far.
After all, it's never been mine in the first place.
The moon was there to share its beauty with those who were looking up and wondering.
But the feelings I felt were for me to treasure.
That beautiful scene on the corner of the street was for me to enjoy.
I'm glad I met him tonight.
